REGISTRATION:  Obtain and fill out a Boy Scout Application Form and turn it in to any adult leader.  Adults wanting to volunteer will need to complete the youth protection training at Scouting.org before the application can be processed.    

DUES:  We do not charge any monthly or yearly dues (these are paid by the church).  Youth membership includes registration with the Boy Scouts.  Yearly registration is done at re-charter time.

ITEMS REQUIRED:  Each scout is expected to purchase a Scout Shirt and a Handbook.  These items can be purchased at the National Council Shop inside the Blue Ridge Mountains Council office near Valley View Mall or from BSA via online catalog (scoutstuff.org). 

UNIFORM:  The Troop Official Uniform consists of:

·         Official Scout Shirt ( long or short sleeve)

·          Scout pants, belt and scout socks (Optional)

·         Insignia – The following insignia’s are needed

o    Blue Ridge Mountains Council shoulder patch

o    149 Troop numbers

o    Forest green shoulder loops

o    Neckerchief and Slide (Optional)
